Chalksharpener was founded in 2020 by Fausto Falchi as an innovative workshop in Venice, Italy. A magical place where traditional woodworking meets contemporary engineering.
Raised in a craftsman's world (his father an ironsmith, the workshop his natural playground), Fausto trained as a visual artist and sculptor before turning his hands to wood.
Every tool is made personally by Fausto, designed and shaped by hand, marrying time-honoured woodworking techniques with modern engineering to deliver instruments built for reliability, daily use, and a long working life.
The quality of a gesture begins with the quality of the tool.
Materials & Process
Every tool begins with a careful design process — precise, considered — then moves through prototyping to the finished product.
Every object that leaves the workshop is made entirely by hand, one by one, as if it were a unique piece: from the most essential models to the most complex solutions for the most demanding clients.
Customisation can take many forms: from simple engraving on wood or inlaid brass, to the development of new products or new designs starting from an idea or suggestion from the client.
All tools are made to order. Write to discuss your needs — materials, quantities, personalisation, or a completely custom commission. Worldwide shipping. Production time 1–3 weeks.
